This Privacy Policy explains how Abissnet sh.a. (“Abissnet”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our websites, AbissnetTV and any other apps, products, or services that link to this policy (together, the “Services”).

1) Who is responsible for your data?
For users in the EEA/UK/Albania, the data controller is Abissnet sh.a.
2) What information we collect
We collect information in three ways: (A) directly from you, (B) automatically when you use the Services, and (C) from third parties.
A. Information you provide
- Account data: name, username, email, phone, service plan, installation address, and identifiers linked to your Abissnet account.
- Authentication: passwords, PINs, and session tokens (stored on your device/app to keep you signed in).
- Support & feedback: messages, call recordings (if we notify you), ratings, and issue descriptions.
- Payment/billing info: handled by Credins Bank. We receive payment status, not full card numbers.
B. Information collected automatically
- Device & app data: device model, OS/SDK version, app version, screen size, language, approximate location from IP, device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID if enabled), and TV/remote capabilities.
- Network & diagnostics: IP address, timestamps, error codes, crash logs, latency, throughput, and basic streaming quality metrics (start/stop, buffering, failures).
- Service usage: channel/stream start events, play/pause/seek, last watched, search queries you enter, and interactions with features (e.g., favorites, “favorites only” filter).
- On‑device preferences: favorites list, UI settings, and cached channel listings. In AbissnetTV these are stored locally within the app (e.g., favorites and search are not sent to our servers unless you use a sync feature).
Transparency note (AbissnetTV): To improve reliability, the app may run lightweight availability checks on channel URLs (e.g., request headers or a small portion of the playlist) to determine if a stream is reachable before playback. These checks hit our own or partner CDNs and include your device’s IP address as with any internet request.
C. Information from third parties
- Abissnet systems: subscriber status, service entitlements, and trouble tickets.
- Payment & anti‑fraud partners: payment confirmations and fraud risk signals.
- Analytics/Crash tools (if enabled): aggregated usage and stability metrics from [e.g., Firebase, Sentry].
- Identity/SSO (if used): login assertions from [e.g., Google/Apple/Operator SSO].
We do not collect the audio/video content you watch beyond necessary operational telemetry (e.g., stream start/stop and quality metrics).

On our websites and web‑based apps we use:

App note (AbissnetTV): Preferences such as favorites are stored locally in the app; no third‑party cookies are used in the TV app.
5) How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:
- Service providers/processors that help us run the Services (hosting/CDN, support tools, analytics/crash reporting, billing, communications). They act under contract and only on our instructions.
- Television/content partners to enforce entitlement, protect streams (DRM/anti‑piracy), and report aggregated viewing metrics where contractually required.
- Law enforcement/regulators where required by law.
- Corporate transactions (e.g., merger, acquisition) under appropriate safeguards.
International transfers. If data is transferred outside your country/EEA, we use legal safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional technical/organizational measures.
6) Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:
- Account & subscription data: for the life of your account and [X years] after closure to meet legal/accounting obligations.
- Streaming/usage logs: typically [3–12 months], unless needed longer for security or disputes.
- Diagnostics/crash logs: [90–180 days], unless aggregated.
- Billing records: [7–10 years] as required by finance/tax law.
- On‑device preferences (e.g., favorites): remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
We will delete or anonymize data when retention periods expire.
7) Your rights
Subject to legal limits, you have the right to:
- Access your data and obtain a copy
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erase (delete) your data
- Restrict or object to processing, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine‑readable format)
- Withdraw consent at any time (does not affect past processing)

8) Your choices & controls
- In‑app controls (AbissnetTV): you can add/remove favorites, toggle “favorites only”, and clear search text. To reset on‑device preferences, clear the app’s data or uninstall the app.
- Marketing: unsubscribe via the email footer or by contacting us.
- Analytics/Crash sharing: where offered, you can disable optional analytics/crash reporting in settings.
- Cookies: manage via our cookie banner and browser settings.
- Devices: you may view/remove authorized devices (where this feature is available) or contact support.
9) Security
We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls, transport encryption (HTTPS), network protections, and regular audits. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please keep your credentials confidential.
10) Children
Our Services are not intended for children under 16 (or lower age as defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact privacy@abissnet.al.
11) App‑specific information (AbissnetTV)
- Authentication: the app stores a session token on your device to keep you signed in.
- Preview feature: when you highlight a channel, the app may request a low‑bandwidth preview or playlist check from our CDN/partner. This involves your device IP like any streaming request.
- Favorites & search: stored locally on your device; they are not transmitted to Abissnet servers unless syncing is explicitly enabled in a future feature.
- Diagnostics: the app may log non‑content error codes (e.g., stream unreachable, buffering) to help us support you and improve reliability.
12) Third‑party services we may use
Depending on the app, we may use:
